Grasmere Weir - Panoramic (SS-90010)

Arriving at Grasmere one hour before sunrise allows easy parking in one of the two roadside parking areas on the A591 at Penny Rock Wood. A two minute stroll through the wood and the bridge across the weir at Grasmere is found.

This photograph was taken on the waters edge having climbed down the rocks on the edge of the weir. The perfectly calm conditions, clear sky and bright sunrise allowed for perfect reflections of Silver How in the still waters.
