Rannerdale (SS-90005)

Rannerdale. Ref. SS-90005

Whilst walking up Rannerdale Knotts by the western approach path, which gives a perfect view of Crummock water and the western fells of the valley, I decided to investigate the path as far north as I could go, above Hause Point. From there the views of Rannerdale, Grasmoor, the northern part of Crummock Water and the Lorton Vale are excellent. This photograph was taken from a precarious position overhanging the road below in order to get the Rowan Tree in full colour in the foreground.

Settings: Pentax K10D with 18-55mm lens. Exposure 1/20th sec @ f/8.
