From the southern side of Rydal Water the views across the lake in perfect conditions offer some stunning sights.

This photograph was taken looking to Heron Island, the larger of the two islands on Rydal Water, with Nad Scar in all its Autumn glory behind. The other island on Rydal Water aptly being called Little Isle.

Date taken 17 October 2009.
Settings: Pentax K10D with 18-55mm lens @ 120mm. Exposure 1/8 sec @ f/8.
