Having first done the walk from Hawse End to Grange along the lake side path in the rain a few months ago with Lianne, I wanted to get back to capture some of the superb views that we saw along the water's edge in better weather. The perfect opportunity was very early morning whilst camping at Castlerigg Farm which is only a 10 minute drive to the parking areas at the foot of Skelgill Bank on the road to Grange.
This photograph was taken from the Brandelhow landing stage and looks north across Derwentwater with Latrigg and Blencathra prominent in the background.

Date taken 6 August 2009.
Settings: Pentax K10D with 18-55mm lens @ 20mm. Exposure 1/10sec @ f/8.
