The Rigg (SS-02810)

The Rigg is the unmistakably distinctive headland separating Riggingdale from Mardale Head. Parking at the small parking area at the foot of the Old Corpse Road provides easy access to the path which after 15 minutes of hard labour rewards with fine views such as this.

This photograph was taken from part way up the Old Corpse Road and is a view of Mardale Head with the access road on the left terminating at the car park.
