Measand Beck - The Forces (SS-02803)

During our last visit to Haweswater (4th May 09) I noticed this view of The Forces whilst driving along the eastern road at Guerness Wood. At that time the colours of the gorse were incredibly intense and contrasted brilliantly against the lush green grass with all the rain we were driving through. The colours weren't quite so vibrant now, a month later, but recording the scene a half mile away with a long lens was still a must.
The Forces is a waterfall and is the last flurry of activity of the Measand Beck before it finally merges with the calm Haweswater below.

Settings: Pentax K10D with 80-300mm lens @ 120mm. Exposure 1/125th sec @ f/5.6.
