Tree at Howtown Wyke (SS-02722)

Parking the car at the top of the winding road section at The Coombs just to the south east of Hallin Fell, provides immediate access to the footpath which skirts Hallin Fell to the north.
The northern section of the path provides some excellent viewing points over northern Ullswater, Howtown Wyke, the village of Howtown and the Fells beyond.

This photograph is from the shore at Howtown Wyke looking across Ullswater to the western shore and the wooded water front at Skelly Neb.
