Ullswater Swan (SS-02687)

Ullswater Swan. Ref. SS-02687

Perhaps it was the commonality of being on the Lake at an unearthly one hour before sunrise (4.40am on this day) that the swan felt it right to follow me around; although I suspect it was more in hope of me having half a loaf of bread I might want to share. Regardless, it was a welcome companion and featured in many photographs.

This photograph was taken from the eastern shore of Ullswater, close to Gale Bay.

Date taken 2 June 2009.
Settings: Pentax K10D with 18-55mm lens @ 18mm. Exposure 1/180th sec @ f/4.
