Angle Tarn (SS-02644)

Angle Tarn. Ref. SS-02644

On arrival at Angle Tarn from the east I noticed a gaggle of geese (a family in this case) going about their daily business of feeding and teaching their young about life on Angle Tarn.
This photo was a pre-emptive attempt to intercept the geese as they paddled around the tarn, to fill the blue water to the left. In keeping with working with animals of any variety, they decided to cut short their cruise and instead preened and fed themselves yards short or my position. Regardless, I took the shot - I liked the calmness of the scene.

Date taken 1 June 2009.
Settings: Pentax K10D with 18-55mm lens @ 18mm. Exposure 1/45th sec @ f/8.
