Cat Crag over Angle Tarn (SS-02634)

Cat Crag over Angle Tarn. Ref. SS-02634

My first visit to Angle Tarn and one not likely to be forgotten. I'd chosen the hottest day of the year for a 12 mile walk around the fells of Martindale, and the walk from Kidsty Pike past The Knott towards Boredale Hause was a hot, dusty and dry one. To arrive at Angle Tarn with its water the most incredibly deep blue was a most welcome sight.
This photograph was taken towards Cat Crag on the south western side of the tarn which provides a perfect backdrop for views over the tarn and shows how crystal clear the Angle Tarn water is.

Date taken 1 June 2009.
Settings: Pentax K10D with 18-55mm lens @ 18mm. Exposure 1/90th sec @ f/4.5
