Sharrow Bay (ref. SS-02602)

There are only a few ideal viewing points of Ullswater along the Howtown Road, south of Pooley Bridge; and you need to be up early to see them if you want to be able park within a sensible walking distance. The parking options are soon taken by those involved in water sports on the lake.
This scene was from one of those locations shortly after sunrise (before 6am), and surprisingly I'd not seen another soul; echoed by the tranquility of the scene.

Settings: Pentax K10D with 18-55mm lens @ 18mm. Exposure 1/6th sec @ f/8.
